You're on a new case. So what's your goal? To find out what kind of puffer you use and learn the right way to use it. So pay close attention... This could be your most important case yet. After all, your puffer is your secret weapon against your asthma. But, for any secret weapon to work its best, you need to know how to use it, right?

Practice can make you perfect

Your Asthma Agent training includes learning how to make the most of your puffer. You puffer is the tool that delivers your medication (med-ick-kay-shun) you need to keep your airways healthy and you happy. The medication is a mist you breathe deep down inside your chest, so it reaches all of your airways. That's where it works the best to keep the asthma symptoms away.

You're no slouch!

You can take your puffer two ways: either sitting down or standing up. But, make sure you have to have a super straight back.

Empty the tank.

You want to make some room in your airways for your medicine, and the more air you let out, the more mist you can take in. So breathe out before you breathe your mist in.

It's all in your chest.

When you're done, you can breathe out slowly and put your puffer in a place you will remember. Think of it like this: you're always on an Asthma Agent case so, it's important you have your secret weapon handy. To make sure that you know how to use your puffer correctly, you should demonstrate your Asthma Agent technique to your doctor or asthma educator.
